Service of Process
What is a process server?
In Georgia, a process server is an individual authorized to deliver legal documents, such as summonses, complaints, subpoenas, and other court papers, to the parties involved in a legal case. The server's job is to ensure that the recipient is properly notified of legal action against them, as required by law. Process servers must follow strict guidelines, and they are often required to file proof of service with the court to confirm that the documents were successfully delivered.
